Chris Roberts new movie Outlander

Post by sscadmin »

I saw some screen pics and a early preview a few months back and it had some promise. But after seeing this new trailer it actually looks pretty damn good and I cannot wait until it comes to video or opens up in more theaters. According to some information that I found it looks like it is only available in selected areas:* San Francisco, CA* Chicago, IL* Philadelphia, PA* Washington D.C.* Dallas, TX* Atlanta, GA* Boston, MA* Houston, TX* Seattle, WA* Miami, FL* San Diego, CA* Detroit, MI* Sacramento, CA* Orlando, FL* Tampa, FL Here is the trailer.... what ya think?

I have to admit it looks amazing. Some great cinematography. I think this will turn out to be a real cult film. Like Highlander was in its day. Looking forward to it. :)

This movie reminds me of a cross between Pitch Black and Relic. The monster looks pretty sweet... shame its only a limited release.

Found this pretty cool trailer here http://uk.movies.ign.com/dor/objects/849547/outlander/videos/outlander_exclip_041409.htmlYou can buy it on DVD/Blue Ray on May 19th. Support Chris Roberts (Wing Commander/Privateer developer) so he can keep creating Sci-Fi films. Looks great and user reviews are generally very positive.

We were pleasantly surprised though. For a movie we expected to be bearable only though playful mocking, we got a decent sci-fi romp. Granted, it's a ridiculous movie - make no mistake about that - but it's fun. It doesn't take itself to seriously, but still works to tell its story.
I saw this movie this past weekend and thought it was a good movie and it was too bad it wasn't in a lot of theaters. Did you see all those deleted scenes on the DVD :) The movie could have been a lot longer. And for the most part the acting was pretty good. Yeah I know Vikings and alien monsters and space ships. But you know what it was a good combination and I am hoping it comes to Blue-Ray shortly if not I will buy the DVD. Recommend this to all the Sci-Fi fans out there.
