You know... maybe we should set up a pool and take bets on when he hits it. All kidding aside, once he either considers it complete or reaches 100 I'm going to get back to it and hammer it for a while. I saw some things I liked when I tried it, others less so, I think the game certainly has tremendous potential but it is a "high ceiling, low basement" thing.

An entire month? He's usually good for 2-3 updates in such a time period. He may still make July if he comes out firing on all cylinders, this guy is driven.

And surprise it's not a dev update but a video of unused music for the game, like the first one as some menace to it until the piano starts.

To tell you the truth, I still haven't updated my version that I picked up about a year ago, but hey, as soon as he reaches a milestone I'll go for it.
My understanding is that this is his second go-around. This is basically a fleshed out Astrox Hostile space Excavation... I can see why the title change. So Jace has actually been working on his vision a very long time and I'm a bit concerned that he may fall into a trap of trying to create the "perfect" game. By perfect, I mean his definition of perfect. 
I remember something someone told me once.
"You go into business to either make money or be popular". With some slight modification, this may apply here. Is Jace looking to create a game that the widest audience possible will enjoy? Or is he looking to create what he wants to play, what he considers perfect. The two could mesh, yes, but it's unlikely. And in the meantime he has plenty of competition.

He would not be the first dev to fall into that chase for perfection, Limit Theory springs to mind.
