@geraldine remember this? "handknitted" but i never will do such again, i guess only to make this very first version it took me about half a year, ok i was still working and married back then, though each day prob. a hour or two which i worked on the model. of course it has been through many revisions before it became he ship it is now, but the body is mainly left unaltered. @vuzzyou don't work with CAD like blender?i'm only asking because the texture for the "Lion" looks like a projection (but not bad for a simple projection), edit:i see it has a UV mapping, i will have to work on that to after i changed/removed/replaced a few tris already. it seems the wavefront .obj is set "solid" instead of "smooth".it would look quite better i guess if it would have a smoothened surface. should i make some "real" landing flaps? they could look upwards when the gear is lowered and return to default pos. as soon as docked/landed. --- i've made once long ago a default undercarriage function, it will look quite better as "mainwheelunit" and is fully scalable, because it's a function you can not only determine the final size by keping it's relations, you can determine length, width, height for iti have to take a second look at it since marcel once reported a error, resp. something didn't works as expected.further if placed at the right position in hierarchy it won't be just a black quad which represents the recess, the recess will be "cut out" and visible.personally i didn't use it anymore, but like i said can digg it out. --- it shouldn't take to long to fix all, but i close this comment until it's finished.

I do indeed Gernot! :girlcrazy: Who would have thought back then how it would eventually turn out and looking so cool too. I do wonder though how the Courier in Elite Dangerous will compare with it.
