Cheers guys

I'm working on a number of other models but I decided I'd take the weekend off, so next week I should post something new, dunno what exactly, it could be a space station, a planetary base, a ship or a hairdryer

Well, that's what it is there for, so feel free to raid it. Also know that if you need to do edits to the models to better fit your style, you can do so.

Hi Solcommand,I decided I would go with the Uberport design from your 2009 folder for now. I was wondering if perhaps you had any textures for this beast?I'm also going to have to add an opening to the model somewere and would you have any preferences for where that should be?Heres a pic in pioneer model viewer

[Image Removed]Its just a wip so I haven't added transparancy to the domes yet. Looks like smoothing hasbeen lost too, I'll be sure to add that back in.

Hey manI don't have any textures made for this station. I did had plans to make a cool texture for it when I was still working on one of the Freelancer mods but because the mod died, so did the "texture project". Unfortunately I can't do a texture now either, cause I'm currently working on a new game which requires all my attention. As for the hangar, it's your choice mate, whatever fits your game better. My original plan was to make a few very small hangars somewhere on the central tower so as to make the entire station look huge ... many km wide & high hehe.

Good idea, see your idea was better than mine, Im glad I asked now :DA shame about lack of textures as thats got to be my least experienced area of modelling. I seem to recall in one of your previous posts or perhaps on your blog you mentioned how it was only relatvely recently that you had really nailed down the texturing (I think

) So would you have any tips or perhaps guides you were reading at the time when this revelation occured?

As if I texture this, I would like to do it some justice. Also I might be able to improve my own models

Thanks btw. Its very good of you to offer your models up the way you do.

A nice box SC... but no obvious link or file on the blog.Did manage to eventually find it though.Have you thought about making a full hanger before? You've got boxes and tubes, roid bases, etc, butno hanger for doing interior cut scenes and the like.Oh and hi from FringeSpace again.

At some point I'll be making something like that but not right now as I've got a few other projects lined up.

Hey guys,I'd need a bit of help with one of the projects I'm working on. If you've got some time, can you please link here some pics with concept art (or whatever) of space debris / junk, stuff that you'd find floating around in space inside debris fields.Cheers.

Tachyon has a standardized set of space junk, but there's a fair amount of it.Would you like pics of that? Can't say it would hurt to have more "junk" laying around.

Hey guysI made a redesign of an older model of mine for someone, called Xarian Fighter. Basically I made the model very low poly and also applied a texture on it. Unfortunately the project was ended prematurely because of a problem I have with my pc for the past week which is preventing me from finishing the texture. Anyway, if you like the ship, use it and have fun.http://solcommand.blogspot.com/2011/03/xarian-fighter-15.htmlCya
