I must remember that the red fags are sub quest and the green flags are quest missions. As I have wasted that 3000 credits on the mediator  ,as I have done a couple of quest missions and pissed the Empire off again. But I did get a big mek :D Just after I got the mek the game started to crash a lot,it may just be blip but it seems to happen after a quick save I will find out later on. :?:

One thing I don't like in space is the way ship just pop into existence, the only way you know any thing is out there is when A-Z says theres a ship which can be pirated or escorted.but the explosions are pretty damn good.:D anyone know if its worth doing any trading between the stations. :?:

I been trying to do a bit of trading between the stations, not getting very far with it as every is so damn expensive and theres no indications as to what might be worth anything at the other stations :x .Pity you cannot dock at the alien and pirate stations,I've also come across my first space anomaly,A-Z has mentioned them a few time but it the first time I have seen one in the game.Must have been a bad one as the ship blew up or it may have been the pirates firing at me.

Just decided to escort a freighter and got jump by pirates, now what I did notice is that the freighter and its escorts did not fire a single shot at the pirates,so the NPC ship AI must not be working in the game.Atfer the battle we continued to our destination. Now I think this is the first time I have ever seen this in a game,up from the planet came a group of unloaders which proceeded to unload the freighter and take the cargo pod back to the planet :D so it was a bit unfortunate as they were doing this the freighter blew up :? .So I decided to take advantage of this and blow open the remaning cargo pods to see if there was any goodies inside, that is untill I was chased off by an imperial cruiser that appeared.

How could they miss that in testing? I'm sure they must have played through the game missions at least once :) Well if you felt like you were the only fighter pilot saving the day, you actually were haha.It would be great if Deep Shadows would come out with a patch for this game fixing a lot of the usability issues. That is really the only thing preventing me from buying the game is that it is still buggy. Or least put out some tools for people to make their own fixes or mod around the issues in the game. But on another note those two screenshots look good :)

The ship escorts are not missions as such, when you encounter a freighter you given the choice to pirate/escort or just simple ignore it.One thing I have noticed is,if the pirate have a cap ship with then the cap ship will usally engage the freighter while the fighter go after the player. But the space part of the game definite has the feel of been unfinshed. There is some sort patch on the Russian forum but due to the translation Iam unsure as to what it is and have been unable to download it,although it may just be an early version of the realised patch. Who knows if Deepshadow is still a going concern :?: and if they have gone under then theres no chance of ever seeing part 2 of the game.  My good friends the "Brotherhood of Free Traders" aksed if I would get a truck from the Empire side of the map, which ment going to see the mediator and now my very good friends "The Empire"let me walk into there base and drive the truck off without firing a shot. :D This must be the secret lab.

I'am still not going in the electromagnetoaccoustic cleanup process  Bit of a surprise to find in the station docking bay there are unloader moving cargo pods around,as the game has auto dock you never really see it up close. :D

The screenshots Pinback has been posting are really good and with a little more tweaking/bug fixing Precursors could be an amazing game it seems. I'll wait to see what Pinback rates the game on whether I go on a hunt on ebay for a copy.Oh Pinback I might snag a few of your shots and add them to the gallery if you don't mind. Or you can just upload them as well to the precursors area in the gallery.

I think worth getting a copy of the game, the game is buggy and unfinished with a number of features which dont work, and it also a bit on the small side as there are only ten system and six planet which you can vist but you wont find anything else like it.The only modern games it can be compared to are smartie pants Universal Combat/Parkan 2 or the GTA games. It also reminds me of the old space RPG game like Sundog or megatraveller in the amount of freedom the player has.

Im playing this on and off at the moment between Distant Worlds and Mass Effect and think its pretty good in that it has both ground combat and Space combat and is fairly open ended in what you want to do.Love it.

Back in Precursors again I got the dragon mission to find the most feared pirate ship in the galaxy, So I have been up to the station and loaded up with 50 missiles as there appears to be limit on how many you can carry :D . Followed the mission marker and found a big ship which I fired about 30 missile into only to realise it was the dragons victim  and I needed to ask it where to go next. After I got the next marker I ended up on another station to contact a guy on it who will sell me the information for 3000 credits, and I spent all my credits on missiles  so back to Goldin again.

hahaha Pinback that is too funny. But there should really be a limit to missiles I find it hard to believe that a fighter could carry 30 nevermind 50 missiles. With that ship being a plot item it didn't show up on your radar as a unknown or friendly? So least you wouldn't have unloaded on it :)
