Yo I'm very happy with the site and service. There's no way I'd be able to track down and compile such a massive list of games for myself so SSC is a valuable resource, when I choose a game I want to be sure it's the best possible choice for me as I like to play a game until it has literally nothing left to give lol.The selection here is very wide and varied so no matter what specific aspects of space sim play you're looking for, there is always going to be a listed game to fill that desire.Obviously there are technical issues that pop up in the day to day running of any site but they are minor compared to the good points.Plus it's nice to just be in the company of other people who like these kinds of games (and the popularity of space sims seems to be on a massive upwards curve atm).Looking at the thingy at the bottom of the main page I see a total of 129 people (give or take a couple of sneaky adbots loitering around) both logged and guest browsing the site at this moment.Dude that is pretty good if you ask me.Just one issue before I forget (time for me to go to the hypersleep chamber), videos... I can't seem to see embedded vids, I just get a white square.I'm on Firefox if that's any help?It could easily be something on my end of things.Anyway yep, thank you Admin for a great service and long may it last.

Kind words SuperbatPrime that I am sure Darkone will appreciate. He does put a lot of effort into the site and doesn't get thanked nearly enough. As for your issue, have you updated flash player ect?

Broke it? May I enquire exactly how? A reasonable machine should be able to handle oodles of OXPs!

Odd - is that the entire log? Best thing is to post the log in Testing and Bug reports on the Oolite forum, I think.

Geraldine - ensure that your Windows is set to 32-bit colour! It needs to be set to at least 16-bit colour, but 32-bit is recommended. That is the preliminary advice - more may follow. My apologies to D1 for the thread derailment... heh! We're rather good at that, where I come from.

That's ok Cody <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//wink3.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />I like it when people help others through some rough spots thats what a community is for. But back to the site, yeah there is some hiccups in spots. Like the Download Area, I doubt it is software related and I really do think it might be provider related and I would probably have to move or upgrade to remedy this (i think). Which could be in SSC's future if more people opt for Gold Member accounts. I do my best to keep the site running tip-top all the time and install software and mod updates as they become available, will more than likely install Blog update (under used by those Gold Members, surprised) and I believe Tapatalk has an update for those mobile users. On the browser stuff SuperbatPrime, as long as you are running a recent browser, updated on flash player, shockwave and java you should have no issues running any content here. If you see anything on a tech side that I might need to know for other people please share so I can write something up to help those that have viewing issues.I have been pleased watching SSC grow and it just keeps expanding, I don't think I can remember a day when there wasn't a new member added and that is always good. I am always looking for ideas on how to improve SSC and make it the best resource out there. I know I have been slacking on my game listing and might work on that over Thanksgiving holiday (have next week off), but any tweaks or additions I can make to build a tighter gaming community and resource I am game. I have liked a lot of what IPB has given SSC, now I thik the search tools and tagging (if used right) work extremely well and I have no problems searching the site.I think the only place where SSC could use lots of help is download area needs some serious attention in the form of game/mod descriptions and it possible thumbnails. That would just make that area be amazing. Maybe I will do 1-3 games a week until I get them all updated. But thanks SuperbatPrime for the kind words and as always please do spread the word about SSC, I do no advertising so this site spreads on word of mouth only.

I have Java disabled/uninstalled in my Firefox, and have no trouble seeing any content. It's surprising how little you need Java for these days.

There is some ajax in some site things but that is more javascript which is handled by the browser and not java console so I believe you are right and don't need Java at all Cody.

I ain't an expert, but pals of mine who are tell me that Java is an easily exploitable security risk. Since I removed it, I've yet to find a website that I cannot use. Apparently, some banking sites still require it - but not mine. It may be different in the land of e pluribus unum.

Not wishing to add to the derailment (a bad habit I picked up from some forum not far away from here <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_razz.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> j/k).Just highlighting this very important piece of information. For anyone not getting the picture, Java is one of the main, if not the main entry point for malware on the average home computer and it's also just very greedy on your system's resources in general. So many people have it, never update it and seem to think it's essential... it's not, only a handful of sites and apps still use it.If you really need to play Minecraft that badly you can always reinstall it when you need it... Otherwise do yourself and your system a favor and give it the boot.

Hey D1, how does the PM system work? Or does the SSC still have a PM system?

Hey Geraldine, Um wordpress doesn't have this feature out of the box. I do see a plugin for this feature, I will install and configure it this week and lets see if it meets our needs.
