No new development as far as I know, but I will continue to update the patch until I have completed the whole game with it!

I've just started playing this after hearing good things about it. But I have to say, it doesn't even compare to my memory of Boiling Point.I've picked up about 30 guns so far, Every single one was identical. Same goes for al the buggies, they are all identical but at least someone decided they needed slightly different paint jobs.Quests are very generic. Go here, kill them, come back. ect ect.Am I missing something here ? Im hoping I just haven't been playing for long enough. I have played up until you receive your ship and get it working. On another note, the random piece of art in the desert was pretty cool

You probably mean the assault rifles which most of the enemies are using. I never care about dropped weapons and they will vanish soon anyway. Actually I like having only few weapons in a game but they should be characteristically different. The Precursors offers Knife, Energy Pistol, Energy Lance, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, two bio weapons and two types of grenades. That's enough for me and usually I only carry the assault rifle and one other weapon according to the mission.

There is only one kind of buggy on the first planet and one kind of flyer. Later on you'll get a riding dinosaur, another flyer, a truck, two more kinds of buggys and even some mech warrior robots!

I loved the quests, especially the civilian ones. Sometimes there are several solutions possible, foremost for the main quest about the bandits.

Do you mean the Rubik's cube with the missions connected or the other cube? Have you found the strange artifact that makes the graphics of the game change?

I would say that the weapons are pretty standard lot you see in any FPS game and some of the alien guns do have some disturbing reload animations

. As for mission type they do tend to be go here, get this or kill that but as Wesp5 said there some times different ways to do them, it also can depends on which perks you chose. It would have been nice to have had a few different buggy types on each of the planets or at leas the ability to transport a favourite vehicle between the planets.Probably too late, but a couple of tips you can shoot the raiders as much as you like but shooting the bandits will make the game a bit harder later on as there is no way to lower your rating with them. And use the sniper weapon as you can use it at long range without any effect to your rating with the factions.

There is nothing wrong with same alien types on a planet if it is their planet, what would be nice to have is maybe a ranking system for the alien races so this way you fight tougher opponents depending on who they are. And maybe with modding of the game the quest system could be updated??

I was probably a little hard on the game, but I do have a bit of a thing for weapons in games. Provided that they are done right... The more realistic the better for me.

Thats right. I ran into that strange floating rubiks cube out in the desert, with a flock of admirers standing by it.

I didnt bother with the quest because I was in a frantic search for the powerpack to my ship hehe.I have a quest for a strange artifact maybe thats the one your talking about.

Cheers for the tips. I actually joined up with the bandits (I think) and the captain chastised me for doing so hehe. I had a choice of joining them, or cowardly lobbing a grenade on some friendly bandits to complete my quest, as I was no match for them in a straight up fight.

Not seen this mission which changes the graphic of the game

Has anyone talked to the ghost by the ruined village.I some time just run the bandits over or use the rockets on the helicopter which is also ideal for hunting these big ape like creatures in the game as these thing can knock the buggies right over.

There is another strange artifact in one of the oasis, with an acolyte nearby who asks you to touch it. You should do so

!

Yes, but he only gives random hints about the Precursors and their installations with no special quests or similar involved.

I have been to the precursors obelisk don’t remember seeing any thing about a mission, but I was being chased around the place by the bandits.

When I get the big box computer working again I’ll have another look there.

Pinback you ever complete the game? What was your thoughts on the ending or is it left to open for there to be an ending because of the sequel Deep Shadows thought about doing?

Looks like I will be making another GamersGate purchase soon. What wasn't mentioned in the article is if Precursors is going to be fully translated/multi-lingual?

Wonder if they are using Wesp5 translation of the game and if they have fixed the numerous bugs in the game.

Hi, first post here.I have the Gamersgate English version and it seems translated so far.Only point is that during gameplay when I receive messages, I receive them as text only, I don't get any voiceover. This also makes dialog pass too quickly. Is anyone else having this issue as well?I do remember I encountered a bug in Boiling Point (the game's less-sci-fi predecessor) that removed the speech from the game.
