Starshatter:The Gathering StormSalutations,I've recently looked into the old Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri game and I really like it except for the dated graphics.Is there a newer game out there that even comes close to Alpha Centauri's game play quality but with nicer graphics? Thanks.

Don't know myself as I don't play these 4x games have a look at Adam Solo "Space Sector blog" [url]http://www.spacesector.com/blog/[/url] as tends to cover these sorts games, if no ones has any recommendation.

Y'know wdboyd's comment got me thinking as to why, with all the updates there has been to Civilization over the years that Sid never considered doing Alpha Centauri again? Even as an add-on for Civilization it could have been good.

Come to think about it did not someone do a fan remake of this game.

Kotor II, with the release of TSLR mod. Does the Planetside 2 beta count? I know it's not in space, but it's oodles of sci-fi blasting goodness, and has been getting the majority of my play time.
