I think it's a great move. Playing a game where there are other player presences is very different from a single-player experience; for a space combat game I've always felt the former is a better direction. I understand it's a different approach, and that people have different tastes.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike multiplayer. MP only games tend to not have that long of a lifespan and when the servers get shutdown you can never play the game again. That's why I like for there to be a single player game option because not all devs make a multiplayer game where players can host or open source the game when it is EOL for them.

Its an expensive risk to make a VR Headset only game since that device is around $300 :)But like always these videos are great looking.

Well I don't think I will playing it as I'm just not into online multiplayer games, if they ever get around to putting a SP into it I would give it a go. Another short video.

Personally this makes sense, space games are already a niche market generally and then if you now need to have VR to play it. Well I doubt the investment cost would be returned, so I think it was a smart move by CCP to do this. I think they cancelled Dust 514 to quickly before they could let it grow. But this move I think was the right one if EVE Valkyrie was going to be a VR only product.
