Sorry for necromancing this thread, but seriously, is this the only Prometheus thread on SSC and nobody talked about it after they watched it?I'm pretty sure most of you saw it. <img src="'[url]http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//sarcastic_blum.gif[/url] class='bbc_emoticon' alt='xD' />I read many critics that didn't like the movie, personally I found it great. Well, I didn't like Guy Pearce in this movie, I expected him in a different role after seeing this teaser.Hopefully it won't take too many years until a sequel is made. But maybe it will never happen. :-/

I liked how the movie didn't make everything obvious to you at first and made you think about some things to make sense. I enjoyed it a lot. It definitely caused a lot of talk&controversy on the internet too. Just search for Prometheus vids on youtube.

thats true, it was quite vague and offered many options for speculation. which is fine for me, so I can watch again sometime.

Not seen any mention of a directors cut and theirs no commentary on the film.

Really enjoyed watching the film but I have to to say it was not quite what I was expecting and it did flag a bit in the middle but otherwise an excellent film. it's not part of the Alien films but it is set in the same universe as Alien with the space jockey being the link between them.I was wrong there are two commentary on the Bluray disk and I am about half way through Scotts one.

I loved it.. They definitely didn't go with the easy option and rather than being a prequel it wasn't really as if you were watching them all the way through you probably wouldn't want to watch this before the others.Also doesn't space exploration always result in as many questions as answers. Ok so they are biological weapons of a master race but how exactly are they deployed and there seemed to be a suggestion that they might result in creation as well as destruction?And immortality is a great motive for a self obsessed oligarch at the end of his life with nothing to loose.
