It’s the team that did Privateer and Starlancer and a bunch of people that worked with me on earlier things like Wing Commander. They’re taking the lead on Squadron 42. They basically did the last good Wing-Commander-style space game.â€

It's kinda starting to irritate me that everywhere you see Chris talking about his past games he rarely (never) mentions Freelancer, which is my favorite out of all his works so far. Even in his KS campaign messages he was rather cryptic about it and he pretty much did nothing about the 10 years anniversary. // sad face //

IIRC Freelancer might be a bit of a sore point with Roberts as the game did not turn out as he intended it to be and he left the company before it was finished.

Looks like us single player are at last going to get some of the action.There are plenty of us out here - the old die-hards mostly. I think some game-makers underestimate just how many, at times. I'd not have backed Elite: Dangerous if they hadn't made it clear from the start that there would be a viable single-player option/experience.

Additionally, single-player games are immortal whereas the ones focusing solely on multiplayer can often disappear into thin air quicker than you can make your schedule for playing them (ImLookingAtYouBlackProphecy).

At the moment, I have no plans or intention to play on the multiplayer side.

As for the next gen consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, we have NO CURRENT PLANS, but my stance remains open and is consistent with the many interviews I’ve given - So it's a maybe in the future.

At $28 million, you unlocked an entirely new starter ship, which we believe is going to significantly improve the Star Citizen experience:New Starter Ship – The team at Consolidated Outland has decided to take Roberts Space Industries head on in 2944 by premiering the Mustang personal spacecraft. We will use these additional resources to create another ship company and starter ship for Star Citizen. The new ship will be offered for sale alongside the Aurora, so players have a choice between two options to begin the game!We’re excited to get to work on the Mustang. As the next step in the process, the design team will turn the broad concept into a detailed set of specifications. Then those will go to one of our world-class concept artists for the first visuals. We’ll share that process with you as it happens!For our next several stretch goals, we’re going to try something different. We are constantly asked where the additional money goes. Surely new mocap hardware or a new starship design doesn’t cost a million dollars. The answer is that the stretch goals are an example: one big thing we will be doing with some of the money. Salvaging. As I like old Commodore Amigas "slightly", salvaging comes natural to me! :girlcrazy: Oh, and Sol Command I would be interested to know what you think of the 300i series. Personally I love em. They remind me of the Raptor fighter from WC1. I reckon that is intentional on the part of the devs to tug those old WC memories in us "mature" players. :girldrunk:

Yea, that's what I think too when looking at it, especially the 350R. I also think one of the other ships, the Freelancer, could do with more work though. I think the nose and cockpit in general needs changing somehow. What to I am not sure, but I do know the view from the pilot's seat is fairly restricted and attracts all sorts of disdain from the SC community. Saying that though, I've flown plenty of planes in FS9 & FSX that were worse. Mind you, no one was shooting at me then! :girlcrazy:
