If you're flying the Griff player-Cobra III, you can customise your own paint-job - to almost any degree of intensity!

Ooh Very Cool! What shipset are you using btw? I've never seen a Cobra skin like that. Is that your own? It looks an awful lot like your retexture for Old Ships.

No screenshot today - have a rhyme instead:
Pulled out of Diriis late one nightThe moon and stars were shining brightHad me a hold full of megaweedAnd I knew a planet that had the needI hit the boost, headed for the leapOnce in the tube, I’d get some sleepBut those damn Vipers came out to playLeft me wondering if I’d get awayAs the clock ran down, I thought I could make itIf only my battered shields could take itBut as the count hit one, I took a heavy blowA bloody Interceptor puttin’ on a showGot knocked aside as the wormhole gapedCaused a mis-jump, but hey, I’d escapedNext thing I know, there’s bugs to fightAnd breakers to blow… oh what a sightI took them down, all warships fiveBadly damaged, but I’m still aliveBlew the breakers, one, two, threeDamn well lost one… oh stupid meA frantic search of interstellar spaceLeft me thinking that I’d lost the raceAt last I checked the short range chartAnd saw a sight that cheered my heartRight next to me, within a light yearZaquesso loomed, and brought good cheerI had just enough fuel, with none to spareAnd whooping wildly, I jumped out of thereNext thing I know, I’m skimming the sunThen off to Artear… man, what a runI torused in and docked at speedBefore them Vipers could draw a beadI sold my weed for a princely sumThen hit the bar, and ordered rumGot thoroughly drunk… could barely standBut what the heck, I’d made three grand!

Not much, you can fly though it safely at the moment, although discussions are happening on the Oolite BB about giving low damage. At the moment its just a 2D texture, and doesn't resolve into separate moonlets. See this screenshot, taken from up close:Rings Demo 3 by JazHaz, on Flickr

I take it that these rings will be in the next Oolite build Cody? I think they will be a great addition <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//nyam.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nyam:' />

That'll be up to the devs - but seeing as cim (who made the demo OXP) is a dev, it is on the cards. Mind you, they do try to keep the core game as straightforward as possible (which is commendable), so it may well be left as an OXP option only (waiting to be improved upon). At present, the demo only adds rings to two systems per chart, so I had to finagle the numbers/textures to get a be-ringed gas giant... at first, I had a be-ringed blue ocean world (which also looked pretty cool).Thinking about it - I'd guess it'll remain an OXP option only.
