Apologies for bringing up our Greenlight campaign again but we're seriously only about 800 yes votes away from the Top 20 on Greenlight, which while not 100% a sure thing it's still likely Drifter would get approved for Steam in the next round of approvals in a couple of weeks! All we ask is if you haven't already voted please take a moment to check out the page and consider voting :) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=136694267

Interesting vids there Underscorediscovery, also if you don't mind that I ask, but what were you listening to in the video? It sounded like an Amiga or Atari ST mod at the beginning.

The one video has this playing (probably the one you are referring to) : http://absrdst.bandcamp.com/album/home-sweet-home  other includes a couple of songs from https://aliceffekt.bandcamp.com/album/the-ehrivevnv-studies-reissue  try to display the music player block somewhere visible but maybe not so obvious that that is the music playing. :)

Just letting everyone know we're now at #4 on Greenlight! The latest batch of approvals came a week earlier than I was expecting (it seems like they're approving new titles every 2 weeks now) so our jump in rank probably happened just after they started making the list for the last batch. The good news is I'm fairly certain we'll get approved when the next batch goes through in a week :)

I just wanted to let you know Drifter has been greenlit and to say thank you to everyone for helping us get there! I have a lot of catching up to do but what this means is that once Drifter is ready to go on Steam, everyone that backed the game on Kickstarter and pre-ordered it through our Humble Store widget will be getting a key to add Drifter to their Steam Library :D

i thought this was done long ago? What happened? The game has been playable for ages but it's just taking longer than expected to get it to where I'd like to be to call it 1.0. Various delays here and there along with it taking 6 annoying months to get through Greenlight have taken a bit of a toll. That said we're still working hard at it and things are moving forward fairly well regardless :)

How will the updates be handled on Steam ie will be patches or a full download as it is now?. I'm hoping I'll be able to take advantage of Steam's incremental update system so it's not always a huge download every time.

possible to get capital ships or at least a 'corvette' type ship with crew in it? I'd buy it for sure if so! I can't get into 'fighter' only games anymore.

I can't get into 'fighter' only games anymore. The ships in Drifter do get pretty large: http://celsiusgs.com/drifter/images/screenshots/dev/shrike-vs-odyssey.jpg However they are all directly controlled and there is no crew dynamic to speak of, at least at the moment. That said the game does range from small fighter type ships to larger and more ponderous cargo vessels but it's possible that's not really too far from the "fighter" dynamic you're looking to move away from.
