Now look what you've gone and done, Geraldine! I just treated my neighbours to Celebration of the Lizard, on a Sunday morning at what can only be described as excess volume. To follow that, I gave them a thorough dose of another hugely-talented singer who also died too young...

As for Chicken Shack, the mere thought of Christine Perfect singing the Etta James classic I'd Rather Go Blind brings a tear to my eye! Of course, she was soon to be become Mrs Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac. However, this next track is Fleetwood Mac when they were still a blues/rock band, before they transitioned into a cocaine-fuelled stadium band...

From a band who've churned out heaven knows how many singles, to a band who only made one...
I came across it when I bought the Island sampler Nice Enough To Eat in '69 - awesome band/track list!
Of course, Heavy Jelly were really Skip Bifferty in disguise. Sadly, they split after that single.

It's a friend's birthday soon and I asked her what she would like. She replied that many years ago she had Dylan's Basement Tapes album but it got ruined years ago. A great choice I must say, so, today, I tracked down a brand new one that is winging it's way to her as I write this. So....
