Of nozmajner, all of you who give of yourselves each and every day to work on this great game is and always will be a hero in my books. All the way from Tomm himself to past and present contributors and that includes all you screenshot folks too. All of you are helping in your own ways to create and bring this awesome game to the masses out there who are desperate for an expansive fully newtonian spacesim. Without your efforts they would have very little to look forward too, so well done, well done to each and everyone of you! :curtsey: Arrakkh is certainly quite the explorer. I think he may have some of Columbus's or perhaps Marco Polo's blood in his veins! :girlcrazy: Wonderful images once again Arrakkh and thank you. They are on deck! :queen: Of course I have some blood from Marco Polo and Colombo, as I'm italian too

Seriously, I explore because is the only thing in pioneer I'm able to do, I 'm totally unable at combat!

We're looking for a selection of screenshots to update the webpage scroller. There are some restrictions on the contents and format of these, namely:Pioneer content ONLY; no fancy skyboxes, mods or non-standard ships please.1440x900 resolution minimum, feel free to submit higher resolutions!Show off a specific ship, planet, station, feature or just something really damned pretty/amazing.Give permission when you post that we can redistribute the screenshot under the CC BY-SA 3.0 licenseThe scroller contains some seriously out-of-date screenshots. Until it was mentioned last night I hadn't realised just how old. Help us out and your screenshots can be there until the next time we realise it needs updating

Ooooh I have competition for screenshots! :girlcrazy: Seriously though Andy I think it's a great idea. Pioneer's own site does need a little sprucing up. Feel free to use that animated gif I made of the end of the Eclipse video if you want too Andy. Its back a page in this thread. And speaking of screenshots since Andy needs some for this month I wont use any for ModDB. I've got plenty I can use on there already. Must take some shots of Scout Plus though since I will give walterar a bump too with the monthly update.

@Geraldine, no need to hold off on using any screenshots, the more the merrier! You do a fantastic job on the ModDB stuff and it's probably one of the primary ways that people discover us so keep it up please

My current findings in newest build (reposting a couple from another thread):The eclipse as seen from the Nest. Probably everybody has seen it already, but it isn't less beautiful for it:Ewing's Dream (Aackand) - in the warm yellow light of that red dwarf, this world looks like a strange mix of Arrakis and the Moon:[sharedmedia=core:attachments:3264][sharedmedia=core:attachments:3265]Phila - inhabited worlds are rather plain, but the brown dwarf is so close you can almost touch it:

Wow, the first one is like "Everything with everything!", the last one makes me think of 2001 A Space Odyssey

Very nice images there Stan. I would really like to use some of them for next months ModDB update if you don't mind that is. :girlsmile:Of course if the dev team wish to use any on Pioneer's own website update that's ok too.

No! I worked hard at rotating the view and pressing that print screen key! You shall not have them!

Joking, of course I don't mind. Glad you like 'em. I'll post more once I find something interesting. ...And here they are: Canaack C: Chia's Rock (Miand): Not all suns on the horizon fit in the screenshot. Almost wish for a panoramic camera. Or maybe I'll need to come back another season?..

That's great news Marcel, this place would not be the same without you, so I am glad you have a build up and running again! And Stan thanks! You will get full credit of course for any images I use as I do for everyone. :queen:

That last shot was from my first launch in the new Pioneer. I had a lucrative package delivery with plenty of time to look at the scenery. I'm about to jump into the galaxy. I was a bit trepidatious about going to another system without a gun. This is where I landed.

Nice. Is it possible to order a screenshot? I've never seen (in this thread) the effect of entering the atmosphere without atmo shield, at high velocity. The hull gets red hot. (#2550).

Red? It gets all the way through yellow to white!

Hard to choose a good angle for a shot though. Some more explorations on the way to Aldebaran: Miand C (9, 1, 1), went to see the star itself, and its' first planet, which seemed to be a rock with an atmosphere. Visited the third rock first: ...and here it is, Miand C a: The two bright dots in front of the Milky Way are its' neighbour, "b", and the distant gas giant, "g": Might come back in two years, "g" promises to get close to Chia's Rock, would be interesting to look at it from that planet's sky. Chen's Hope, Veayess (8, -2, 2). I don't know what their hope was, the place is a giant swamp with a greenish yellow sky. Has some interesting lakes though.

That is beautiful, nozmajner! Quite a place. "Living in the grasp of a giant"?

And I've made it to Aldebaran. Went to visit its' first planet. It's massive, with a thick atmosphere. I had no idea if I'd be able to take off again, so decided to save as much fuel as I could, in case I had to fight the sky all the way out. Deorbited at the dark side to land somewhere in the morning. 11 km/s, nearly in the atmosphere: I'm in, speed is dropping fast. How can something so inhospitable be so beautiful and so gentle? 5600 C on the surface, 83 Earth atmospheres pressure... But the planet literally just landed me on its' own. The atmosphere swallowed all my speed (more than 10 km/s!), and I slowly "submerged" to the surface. Only had to apply a little thrust at the end to kill the 300m/s descent. Noon and sunset: Surprisingly, it let me go as gently as it received me. I'll definitely have a story to tell in the next system I visit!
