thanks guys, it is coming so good. It's amazing what reaching a feature freeze can do! Since this is my first experience, let me tell you, the amount of time which you can now devote to polishing is incredible!

How big will the final download be Justin?. Just been having a quick play around with the combat demo again and I have got a couple of question for you. Will the player ship have a rear gun/missile maybe maned by a crew member just noticed the enemies have them, also it would be nice to have a red alert noise. In less I am using the tactical screen the first indication that I am under attack is the incoming laser fire.

The download is smaller now. Less than 130, and desura will only update the files changed. It's probably a minute to update to the latest version/ Red alert noise sounds like a good idea. Currently the crew will warn you when a contact has been detected, the current version has a kind of 'cowbell' lol when a new message comes in and the box is much easier to see/read now too where it is in the middle, but you can move it where you like. Going to have to create a red alert noise now :) Try the beta :) Even though Desura is two versions behind. They are at 0.5.1 and I am at 0.8, they're updates are painfully slow. I can't wait for the full release on other sites, and just make the updates instantly available.

I don't know how I missed this! :girlwacko: This is a great game you have here Justin and it's not even finished yet. Just had a quick play on it so far, but so far, I like what I've seen. Keep up the good work! :girlcrazy:

I have not been using Desura app might have to look at installing it instead of downloading each new version of the game, just looked at Desura page and getting 404 error, for 0.5.1 guess they may be updating the version will check it later.

People have been reporting that they cannot download the stand alone version. No idea why. The only people who have it, used the Desura client... @ Geraldine, thanks if you like it help me spread the word about it on forums you frequent or social media. It has 0 marketing now. The death of all indie :)

Grin indeed lol. That's the only way starflight, star control, escape velocity fans can know about the game. I'll try to get it greenlit, even if just for some exposure. And it is actually in beta now :) Version 0.8 was uploaded today but not yet 'visible' on Desura. The patch notes are on my forums and the desura forum for the game, if you want to look at what has changed. http://www.desura.com/games/void-of-darkness/forum/thread/patch-notes/#932344 Thanks again :)

I see Desura have finished updating the game to v.8 now, just downloaded it, like the new icons and graphics :good: I have just started getting the crew into place when I was attacked in the station and the ship was destroyed, I think you should seriously think about changing this for the start of the game and making it a safe zone so the player can set the crew up and get underway. Also the game ask if I wanted to reload but as I had not saved a game the game seem to stalled there as would not recognize the Y/N or the ESC keys. Would be useful to have the icons change color or glow when in use.
