A harmonica player who jammed with us for years is no longer with us. This is the song that I remember him performing most weeks.

Theme tune for The Old Grey Whistle Test! Someone was explaining the origin of 'the old grey whistle test' just the other week. Had no idea who created the music for the theme.
Harmonica? Fox chase?

The singer on the Family song reminded me of Fish from Marillion - I remember some lads at school disliked Marillion saying they were unoriginal.
Bit of Prog Metal from Scottish band Chasar who did a session for the Friday Rock Show back in the 80's - great drumming in this

Heard this earlier today. When it came out in 1981 I'm sure I dismissed Depeche Mode as being a lightwieight pop band. Over the years though they have made quite a few songs that I like. Saw them live about 9 years ago.

It's come to my attention that The Pretty Reckless are touring the UK this autumn (the Death by Rock and Roll tour). The usual list of venues, from the Brixton Academy in London to the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow. I may well be buying a ticket.
