Over the last week or so I have been trying to think of a song by the Smiths that reminded me of an Elvis song. I worked out which song it was yesterday. Unfortunately this now ties in with todays announcement of the death of the Smiths bass player, Andy Rourke.
Acoustic guitar sounds similar to His Latest Flame.

Heard this for the first time yesterday. Sounds strangely familiar. Apparently Robert Plant was a fan.

Dry and sunny up here for the first time in weeks it seems. Definitely not hot. Lots of this recently...
Reminds me of Oasis this song.

Used to hear a song called The Juice of the Barley on a Val Doonican record when I was a kid. Didn't understand the chorus. Turns out it is partly in Irish.

Taped this song from the radio when it was broadcast in the 80's. Still got it on cassette but don't know whether it would still be playable. Scottish prog metal band Chasar from a session recorded for the Friday Rock Show.

The Charlatans' label refused to let them release Codine as they thought it encouraged drug abuse - fools!
Anyway, another one gone - R.I.P. Robbie Robertson...

Found this by accident, I've never heard this song done like this, it seems as if this is the way it should be done.

Also wasn't expecting a heavy metal singer to be playing the harmonica...
