I've never heard this song done like this, it seems as if this is the way it should be done.
Yep! Judy Collins did it beautifully, and Pete Rowan was known to close some gigs with it.

Taped this version of Amazing Grace off of the radio forty odd years ago - don't know anything about the band

Great guitar sound
Yeah, especially Bob Weir's rhythm playing - top-notch! I love the sound of a Gibson semi.
Melanie had a big hit with this Stones number in 1970, but later recorded this subtly different version...

The only guitar I ever owned was a Framus acoustic (bought in '73). Not that I could play it much - drums was my thing - but it had a lovely mellow sound and a beautifully curved back. My then girlfriend could play though, and she ended up owning it. <sighs wistfully>

Used to have some Yamaha drums. The bass drum pedal was from a band that played a gig in Leeds in the early 80's but somehow managed to leave it outside the venue after the gig. I found it about two days later. I could play a lot of basic rock rhythms but had no idea what a paradiddle was. Have an electronic kit now but hardly have any time to play it. Also have one of the early Japanese Squier Precision basses which are supposedly similar in quality to the more expensive Fender models. Will probably never be a very good drummer, guitarist or bass player but won't stop trying to play all three.

Sadly, I think it's time for an old protest song...

An Aussie band I heard in my barbershop the other day...
Lovely guitar playing, reminiscent of Peter Green.

A short but oh so sweet guitar break from Mike Oldfield...
Heard that so-called Beatles "final song" today - not impressed!

@cody I heard it too. It sounded so fake to me. Still, I picked up a CD, because I couldn't find a record version of it anywhere, of it and will be doing a back to back comparison to some genuine Beatles vinyl albums. I doubt my view will change.
Now that, is the real thing!
EDIT: New video because old one was taken down?

Yeah! Now you've got me listening to Let It Be... Naked (the stripped-down remaster of the original Let It Be album).

Heard the Beatles song while working in a warehouse. Thought it sounded like Oasis. Sounded OK though. Listened again on YouTube at home. Disappointed that Lennon's voice doesn't sound enough like Lennon. Like the piano chord progressions. Going to listen to it again now.

Guitarist from Killing Joke has passed. Saw the band live in the 1980's.
A bass player that I knew and jammed with many times has also left us.
