Hi,I came here from Poland and I feel that my journey is about to end

I like very much the idea of this website and forum :DMy favourite space game is Transcendence by George Moromisato. I am totally crazy about it

To be honest - I have a big amount of ideas, which I want to contain in my own space sim, but I don't even write them down - I know that world is cruel place where no programmers can be found

Hey TamagoyakiWelcome to SSC and feel free to kick back and stay a while there is a lot of room on the station, so its ok to be a squatter for a while.I like Transcendence myself it is a great game and watched it go through many revisions working it's way up to 1.0

Nice accomplishment for George M. that is for sure. I know the other day I was searching the net for some engines that come help me make something without too much programming knowledge and I came across a engine called RenPy and it allows you to almost make like a video story style game or just a story and I was going to start playing with that. Only thing is I kinda stink at making any type of art :)Have fun in the forums Tamagoyaki, there is a lot of projects in the works.

I'm specialized Transcendence speedrunner - I'm sick when my game time is longer than 6 hours

Hmm, I've found something called Construct (mentioned here). Anybody knows its difficulty level, capabilities and limitations? It looks really promising...

I have been watching it for a while now but have been waiting for it to go v1.0 to really dedicate time into learning it. And for right now it is still a 2D/2.5D engine.

I absolutely love 2D games - 3D make me sick :DIt seems to be something I was looking for - but also I prefer to wait for 1.0

Exactly - free, single player, moddable 2D game. You can find a good amount of well made mods at xelerus.de

Star Sonata is a bit of a pain to play because the griefers that you run into in that game. But another game like Transendence that is in development is Naev.

NAEV - I guess that name means Not Another Escape Velocity

Unfortunately it won't run on Vista (or even install - maybe it's a bug, I must retry install it).BTW, I'm getting started with Construct - it's rather hard to do some things in it (i.e. transcendence-like small ship behavior - circling around playership and shooting into it), even space-like movement is hard to do (but remember that I'm still learning its features). Maybe it will be good idea to make a suitable subforum for Construct when 1.0 comes out? It will be cool to exchange ideas with you

Hmm Naev should work because I have played that on Win7x64 with no issues. On Construct, right now the modding and coding section area is meant for all that but if peoples interest in the engine develop I can definitely make one. But make a thread maybe in the show-off area and get some feedback on whatever project you are working on. I know for me its just sitting down to learn it that is the obsticle for me

OK, I'll start a new thread as soon as I manage to sort it (and when I find someone who can make it understandable fix damage caused by my horrible english :F)About Construct - I was trying to make spaceship movement, but I'm too stupid for it, so I gave up :/
