Excellent would love to see a full conversion mod of Freelancer to Elite.

Just to give this thread a little bump, Gibbon (who created the stations and ships) is committed to another Freelancer mod at the moment. Would any other Freelancer modder out there like to take on the creation of a full-on Elite mod using what Gibbon has created so far? To wet your appetite here is a little screen shot

Actually a guy called Griff made the models, Gibbon is doing the conversion into the FL model format. The models are actually available from the guys site...http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Griff_Industries

I definitely like the scale of it in how huge it is compared to the ship.

Scale look good but IIRC they were supposed to be about 1mile or was it KM in diameter.
