I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned these titles. Pretty much the best space games ever made. Though maybe they belong in Standalone Space Sims with Wing Commander. They aren't that much older than Wing Commander.I haven't found anything similar to it. I guess SWG: Jump to lightspeed could qualify, in a way....It is possiable that it is out there and I haven't come across it though.

They have been mentioned in various threads.Like a lot of the older games no started a thread about them, until now.Theirs been plenty of single player story driven games made, when D1 restores the links page have look through it.

LucasArts hints at X-Wing & TIE Fighter remakes that would be nice, i loved TIE fighter
