Hawken is a mech game that might come to the PS3 and Xbox360 but will be on the PC. The game is looking really good so far, so check out the in-game trailer. Website: http://www.hawkengame.com/blog/

This is one of the games that I'm keeping my eye on. Mech games are at quite high in my list of games I want to play but the offerings have been almost non-existent. There was another game in development (Lore: Aftermath) but that seems to be vaporware. Same can be said about a new MW.Hawken looks absolutely gorgeous and if the gameplay lives up to the graphics then this will be a game I will spend allot of time on. Bloody hell just thinking about Mech games makes me want to fire up good ol' MW3. I sure as hell hope this game will take the spot that MW3 has held for me as the best Mech game around...Here's the other trailer from the 9th of march:

This will be an amazing game for me if you can do some of the following:- Mech customization (obviously)- They build an amazing urban landscape, so it would be great to be able to go and hide almost anywhere- Night time battles- Depending on the size of the mechs, going in buildings for ambushes- Ability to power down and stay hidden- More sniping abilities. In this environment this is a snipers paradise :)

Customization is everything. This is the same as in an RPG where you're always looking for the best fit for your playstyle. I think I've spent almost as much time outfitting my Mech as I did piloting it, in both MW3 and Heavy Gear 2 (this is my second favorite Mech Game). From what I can tell from the vids, this is very present in Hawken. I've spotted quite a bit of different loadouts on the same type of Mech.As for the style they are going for, I'm happy. The arena shown in both vids has multiple heightlayers, a shitload of ambush/hiding/sniping places and the city looks nicely rundown without it looking to gritty. As for nighttime combat, I actually hope they don't do it, because then they have to include Nightvision, which in effect just makes you play the game through a green colorfilter. (or whatever color they use). Totally agree on the power-down/staying hidden part. Although I did hate camper sin CS :? Damn I wish this game was finished already. This game has second place in my "games I'm waiting for" list. First place still being Path of Exile

i wonder how similar it is to what was shown in 2011? Or if a completely different game. Long dev time! Looks good!
