Hi to everyone, Bout time I hopped onboard.I'm an oldtimer, And have enjoyed owning through the yearsC64 (My FIRST modem was a Cicarda 300 for the C64 - Using it to access the local BBS's)C128 (The 1571 was probably the best thing about this beast - Though I enjoyed using it & mucking about with the CPM os)A500 + a590 Hard disk (With two scsi drives 20mb & 30mb)i386 & upward using Dos/Desqview, OS/2, WinXP, and finaly Linux (Which I currently run Fedora on a laptop & Ubuntu on my desktop). Some notable Sim theme games I liked:Elite http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_%28video_game%29Mercenary: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercenary_%28video_game%29Sentinal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sentinel_%28video_game%29MULE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.L.E.Alien: http://www.c64-wiki.de/index.php/AlienWarhead: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhead_%28video_game%29Carrier Cmd: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_CommandArmour-Geddon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armour-GeddonThe Mechwarrior 2 and Ghost bear expansion were fantastic. (Though I didn't much like MW2:Mercs).XWing (Original on floppy!) & all the others (Tie fighter, XWing vs Tie then XWing Alliance) Frontier (Both Elite2 & First Encounters)And of course oolite and Pioneeer.I think thats enough for now :geek:

Hi Oz Falcon, welcome to the SSC :) Nice to see you here. A great list of games for sure. You also mentioned Mercenary. In the download section there is a Mercenary re-make collection if you would like to re-visit these classics, here is a link http://spacesimcentral.com/downloads/ft2.php?dir=%2FCommunity_and_Freeware_games/Mercenary_Clone

Ah the memories of playing on my C64C with the very fast 1541 5 1/4 floppy drive ;) and my 300baud modem playing TradeWars and Yankee Trader into the wee hours of the morning.
