I just took off from Epsilon Eridani, set the autopilot to Eridani Commercial Centre and watch the sun rise around the planet as I powered along to the station.Fantastic.I was only wanting to test a quick little hack I'd added :D

Start work on those now. The API won't receive much love unless there's users putting pressure on us to change it. Right now its just perfect for the few missions we have :)

Speaking of sunrises and eye candy, I was doing some rendering experiments but it's on hold while I do some other things. But here's a sunset:[click for bigger]

:) Try this: Start game on Epsilon Eridani, point camera towards where sun *will* rise, fast forward... watch the show :DIt just so happens that the moon Hades will eclipse the sun :) But due to the moons eliptical orbit, once it has risen it will then proceed to set in the same place :DHere's what it looks like along with a tweaked version of Luomu's scattering branch:[attachment=789:pioneer-msvc-9 2011-05-20 23-37-16-33.jpg][attachment=790:pioneer-msvc-9 2011-05-20 23-38-07-56.jpg][attachment=791:pioneer-msvc-9 2011-05-20 23-38-10-20.jpg]@ Luomu R.E. Scattering stuff, We'd like to use it but it needs some sorting out. I've a branch with the rayleigh phase turned off and reduced MIE, rayleigh causes problems so its best to leave it out, or at least at a set number.Another guy from the IRC channel called Ae has been rewriting the scattering stuff based on your implementation and O'neil's original work. But he always mentions how he needs to speak to you and pick your brain, so please jump on the IRC sometime and have a chat about it :D

That's nice, I certainly can't do anything about it while HDR is broken with ATI >:I I'll drop by IRC when I figure out where I can run irssi or somesuch via ssh

In the mean time, we have web based IRC. If you can get onto this forum, you should be able to use that.
