Hello one and all. I am Kaelus and I believe I have found one of my new favorite sites. I cannot believe as long as I have used the Internet, that I haven't seen this site before. Anyhow, despite my lack of attention to this subject I hold near and dear to my heart, I have found it at last. I'm going through so many posts as I'm a gamer from way back. Like Star Flight 1 on my 386 or Tradewars on my friends 286 for that matter :). I remember I bought Master of Orion on CD before I had an optical drive it was the longest 8 months of my life before I could finally sample its glory! I thought I had played nearly every space type game that exists, I appear to be wrong however. In the past few weeks I have dug and dug and dug with my Google-fu and have found so many games. Many times Google brought me to this site and so rather than using the mighty engine as a middle-man I decided it was easier to trawl the boards looking for treats. I tend towards lurking but I'm attempting to force myself to be more of an active community member in the sites I exist in. This community seems very friendly and definitely my style of people so we'll see how I fit in. My gaming interests tend to be quite varied I like to say i've played everything, though I suppose I have in a way. I have beta tested hundreds of games including big name titles such as all the Diablo and expansions, Starcraft, and various other big name titles. I have beta tested I would say 70-80% of a the MMO market including MMUD, Realm, and Meridian 59. So I guess you can say I've "been there done that". I don't just dig space titles though, but they do give me a special thrill that few other games manage (especially in this day and age.) I recently had an epiphany, which is excellent because I thought that I was getting bored with games (My main passion in life.) However, after much contemplation and consideration I have determined that big name companies, AAA games and the like have a fatal flaw. The developers haven't included fun in the game for some time now and so much interest swept to "Indies" and I have found an amazing world. I love combination of retro themed with modern game design concepts. It's really an amazing thing to see some of these games do so well and for the trend to continue.Well, I have used enough of your time with my ramblings thank you for the amazing contributions this site has and I look forward to seeing what else it offers.

Welcome to SSC Kaelus, glad you were able to find this station in the vastness of space. So now you can kick back and enjoy yourself in relative safety :)Traderwars I still do play to this day when I find the time to play, I think between myself and some of the members I think we have probably found most of the indie and rare gems out there so make sure you checkout the game lists (use menu bar on homepage).See you in the forums!

Thank you for the warm greetings DarkOne. I have a terrible memory for personal things, but i truly remember playing almost every second of tradewars over....15 years ago? wow. As for the games, yeah I believe you have found nearly every decent game out there. I am slowly going down the list playing each as they catch my fancy. Like somehow, i missed Armada 2526 and so i'm eager to get into that one and see what I missed.
