Look like theirs a group trying to get StarWars Galaxies back up and running according to this article on RPS. I have played on this server in the past and it was quite responsive. Will be interested in seeing how it could handle a bigger population. Because I doubt that Sony will allow collecting money for running the server so costs will be expansive for the bandwidth so I hope they get donations to keep the game alive.

Didn't they open source this game, I cannot remember? Because there is several projects (or least there was) that was building off the base game.
