Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?! is a roguelike, space adventure game with management elements and turn-based combat. If an arcade game, then I rather like to skip such interruptions and simply shoot and dodge... On the other hand, yes, why not doing a mix of arcade and space simulation, all the subject is currently much too 'serious' to my taste. However I don't think such a style will reach high acceptance, but let's see: There is a community for the 'Boderlands' or comic style games which are well done, and a community for the 'Crysis' or 'FarCry' type games that do the same but try to be more realistic.
