Figured I'd introduce myself for those that don't know me.I'm known around the internet as "Gunbladelad" and some of you will be aware of me through the Frontier Developments Forums. I've been playing FE2 and FFE for years (having only recently upgraded to FFE D3D in the last few weeks...) and I'm an active member of the Freelancer Discovery UK community.If anyone's wondering about the FFE replacement videos file I've uploaded at Geraldine's request, I don't remember who it was that originally encoded them, although a look around alt.fan.elite suggests it may have been "Frantic".

Been a while since I played the discovery mod, makes me think I have to get my FL game back from a friend (can you believe he never even heard of the game). Thanks for the welcomes.I can't really say much about the state of Freelancer (I'm only active on one of the Discovery Servers, but I do serve as an adviser to the Nomad Faction on a second).In terms of updates for the Discovery Mod, they've released another update for 4.86 today. I can always make another topic for that, however...

I tried the face pictures, but they dont work in GLFFE or FFE3D sadly. No problem at all.Now that the videos are up in the open again, no doubt somebody will work out a way to make them work in (or convert them for) GLFFE or FFE D3D.I was surprised when I seemed to be the only person who still had them at the Frontier Forums. It's just a pity I don't remember for certain who made these ones up originally. Frantic's my best guess given how much he's worked on the Elite community in the past - as well as his posts on alt.fan.elite mentioning making up videos like these back in 2003. If anyone can confirm they're his, then let the admins know to credit him as the modder responsible for them.

Yea Frantic (if it was them) certainly did a good job. Perhaps the Russian guys might be able to do something with them for FFE3D? I know there was rumours that someone over there got the vids to work with it, but I cant confirm that due to Goggle translate struggling with the Russian Elite board.
