Been thinking a lot lately and for me that is dangerous....anyhooohow possible is it that a picture in picture mode could be added to Pioneer? maybe as a ship upgrade. When activated a small window would appear (in the top left for example) with an alternate view of your ship (which is selectable in options or something)?my concept is when you are performing a manual landing, you could have the main view on forward but the picture in picture could be showing a top down external view so you know if you are directly above the landing pad or could be showing a side on view so you can see how far to the pad you are away??

Perhaps with a ventral camera.

Changes were made in alpha 16 (the addition of a camera class to the code) to allow for exactly this sort of thing to be done. It hasn't been actually done yet, though, because the user interface itself is currently being completely rewritten. I can't find an open feature request for picture-in-picture, but I do know that it's something that the devs have always agreed was a good idea.
