Since I found this forum, I am really eager to play some of my old space games. Thats why I just reinstalled Starlancer after nearly 6 years, but why play alone when you can play with other players. I play in GMT+2 with pretty erratic hours, but I think it shouldnt be a problem to organizing a time late at night or early in the afternoon.

Hi SiskoGoing to have to dig up my Starlancer game and see if it still functions

But maybe I should make a thread or an area for multi-player game requests?I thought Starlancer was one of the best Space Sims around the story was great and the gameplay was great. All around solid performer and it was too bad a sequel was never made.

Hi there Starlancerboy and welcome to SSC1. I would check the windows and or hardware firewall and make sure your not blocking the game from broadcasting out. 2. If you are behind a firewall you are basically running a NAT. Make sure you are forwarding the traffic to your machine or forward traffic from your friends IP to your machine.3. Make sure your using your outside IP and not the NAT (DHCP) ip from the router for the connections for the TCP/IP game.4. You can try to use Hamachi it is a real good program that should help with your issues https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi2/

Your welcome, almost didn't see your update. You could have used 'netstat -a' from a command prompt when StarLancer is running and probably have the host setup and waiting for a connection.Hamachi is great creates a virtual lan between machines that makes your computer think they are connected to the same hub so you can play LAN/TCP game.
