Need a bit of help, guide to get this game on my computer. Been reading about it for some time now and think I want to give it a try. Been playing X3TC, just tired of taking forever to reach a goal. So, could one of you be nice enough to give step by step instructions of what I need and what to watch out for.ThanksJohn

I followed the guide at http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Installing_fs2_open which worked fine for me. If you need to buy the game I strongly recommend using http://www.gog.com/gamecard/freespace_2 where it's a mere $3 at the moment

Great advice there Voxel, I couldn't have put it better myself. And John, once you get FS2 Open up and running, you wont look back! Just wait till you see the mods you can get for free! <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//girl_crazy.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':girlcrazy:' />Y'know, the Freespace games don't get nearly enough attention they deserve. Awesome series <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//nyam.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':nyam:' />

First of all, I apologise for posting in such an old topic - but my post is relevant and the topic's within the first few in here. While looking through the Wii's "Homebrew browset", I spotted Freespace 2 as being available for the Wii, and was wondering if any of you had tried it on that - and what your experiences were if you have.

Pretty amazing that did not know that you could anything like that on a Wii.

I guess someone did a port. Then again there is even an Amiga OS4 port...
