Anyone know what the story is IIRC I read it was going to be a remake of the wrath Khan, the best of the original startrek films.

I'm really waiting for this movie cause it's been a while since I watched something sci-fi. I just hope they'd quit with that type of music, it's already been used so much it's frustrating.

Now that looks awesome! probably the best action movie of the summer right there. That's what's worrying me. Action should never be the strongest appeal of a Star Trek movie. I fear it'll have a generic unintersting plot.

From what I have seen and read it will have a wraith of khan feel to it.

If they were to make a new TV series I'd surely want it to have the actual feel of Star Trek otherwise I'd burn down their studios, but for a cinema movie once a few years, I'm fine with whatever type of "feel" as long as the movie is good overall.

I just saw this movie at the cinema and maaaaan this is a great film !! So much action, both in space and on the ground, such great sound that makes you jump up from the chair at some points. All in all, you should definitely watch this. I for one am gonna go watch it again at the cinema cause the movie was so intense I surely missed some of its details here an there.

Yep I enjoyed this one :)I think they did a good job misdirecting us all with the trailers too! Completely fooled me in a lot of places.

Just got the Blu ray yesterday, great film, the cast give a brilliant performance as their characters and the visual effects don't swamp the film. The only down side is the special features on the disk which are very poor and their is no directors commentary

There was a Directors Cut of the first film so I am hoping they make one for this one. I usually hold out a small while for them, so we'll see if my wait is worth it

Might be interested in this Pinback about the extras: It turns out more extras were created for this title. But Paramount’s marketing wizards took those additional extras, split them up and made them all available as retailer exclusives. So for example, the iTunes Extra download does have audio commentary with J.J. Abrams and his team. There are additional featurettes that have been split up as CinemaNow and VUDU digital extras. Still more are only available on exclusive bonus discs at Target and Best Buy. So in the end, fully half of the bonus content created for this title got scattered by the marketing team as a retailer promotions.
