A new movie from a manga of my childhood oooh yeah : Captain Harlock (Albator in French version) The movie should be out in Fall 2013 trailer here

I'm not familiar with this but still looks interesting so most likely I'm gonna watch it, if I don't forget about it until then.

oooh didnt saw this old 2010 thread on SSC !! everybody seem to wait for this movie here in France; I was surprised to see they even talked about it on french TV evening news yesterday !!!

Just get the DVD, and saw it for the 2nd time. The story is a bit complicated but the space battles are impressive, they accomplished the challenge to keep the original manga vibes in a modern 3D anim movie

Here in France the DVD is available since beginning of may
