EDIT - An extensive marketing campaign is underway to re-brand this ship as the "Deneb Transport" My first attempt at a model for for Pioneer (and generally first proper model) Its still a WIP, things to complete: Landing gear (50%)Full efficient UV unwrap + final textures (placeholders at the moment)LODCollision meshLabels / Decals etc Its based on the design of the original Lion Transport from Frontier and its approx the size of the space shuttle (couple of meters longer and wider) What you think? It's a nice clean shape, I can't quite see that engine nozzle from the shots you've used so it looks a little odd.Once you've got a bit more done I think it'll look even nicer

The engine nozzle is a little odd to be honest, its a sort of cross shape. With the rest being so smooth I wanted something a bit more interesting than a plain round nozzle. Is there a special way to package up game files so they are easily extractable or do I just throw them in a zip file and let the user put them in the correct place?

For a mod you just need to package up the relevant folders and files into a ZIP.For ships that usually means something like:"/models/ships/Lion/*.*""/ships/Lion.lua"Then the resulting ZIP, eg: "ZordeysLion.zip" just needs to be put into the "/pioneer/mods/" folder and the game should find it when loading.

I really like this. It looks like an interstellar business jet.

I added a link to the files in the original post. I could do with some help balancing fuel use / price.

I have updated the mod zip file in the first post for the model formerly known as "Lion Transport". Now with fully working undercarriage. Guess I have to pick a new name now, any suggestions?

Maybe you could call it a Cub Transport, or pick the name of another large cat.

Thanks Brianetta, I like Deneb, it has a nice simple symmetry to it. I have updated the download link in first post with the re-branded model, now with much better UV unwrap (But still unfinished textures)

Thanks Tourist. For some reason the link gave the correct address if you copy and pasted it but clicking on it took you to the old version.. I have re created the link and it now points to the new .zip file for addition to your mods folder. (You will need the latest nightly build to get the nav lights working)

Zordey, if this model's about done, you just about have time to submit it to the next alpha.

End of the week, is the word I have.Friday 1 March, specifically. Or maybe Saturday 2 March, depending on timezones and if you tell me to hold off for a few hours while you put the finishing touches on (though honestly, I'd want to see something before that, I don't like doing review at the last minute).
