Hi! My name is Gustav and I have already introduced myself on the Paragon forum but then fluffyfreak contacted me and told me Pioneer is really in need of more art and willing to changes things artistically.That made me really interested because why I even was interested in helping Paragon was that i thought it as Pioneer but caring about the look of the game too. But now that fluffyfreak explaind to me about Pioneers situation I think I should be here if you now want me. I work allot so if I am going to spend almost all my free time on trying to make Pioneer look better I want to join the team. Would like to change some things out and maybe delete some ships and object so the style is coherent. Of course we discuss everything but just so you know my idea is. Will start too make more things if i get a green light. Here some things I threw together today. Thought maybe a background for the main menu and a ship design enjoy!  

I'm speaking as a player. I like that "eccentric" style :prankster:On the other hand, I fear that I would miss the more "serious/realistic" style to which I am used to (Wave, Natrix, Deneb, the two orbital stations... ).

Speaking also as a player, dont forget Tichy that there are different factions in the game. Admittedly they need development, but a good step in the right direction is giving the different factions their own ship styles, so yes phelioz, it would be great to see what concepts for the ship models you can come up with. :girlsmile:

Yes, i like ityou're right, Pioneer will be more beautiful with this ship.But also your ship will become more beautiful with Pioneer.  Thank you P.S. - Paragon reminds me a bit the simplicity of "2001: A Space Odyssey" [url]https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001GDN_A_Space_Odyssey[/url] some style and colors of Blade Runner [url]http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_Runner[/url] Tron.[url]http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron[/url] can you bring a little of this "magic" to Pioneer!? i think you can. :maninlove: You are so right, you don't know how much praise I have for Pioneer other wise I wouldn't want too devote so much of my time to it as I think I am going to do now if the devs like it. I just think the ship and object side lack some coherent style and I think the game will feel more finished if we can get a coherent style in pioneer. It's funny you name does three movies. I love all of them and some of my inspiration comes from them. And Geraldine I am working on a second ship right now

if this does not come true,, do not give up, do your own mod with your style and ships use last Pioneer Build And call it, The Last Frontier, and tell me where I download. pls "Pioneer - The Last Frontier" - Wow, A good name for a MODSHIP to Pioneer, what you think!? Tnx Hehe sounds good Yeah if i can't join i will probability do like that take the last build a try to make pioneer in to how I want to look it. The plus sides for both things. Working with the other guys would be really good because then they could help me add some of the things faster But the plus side too the other way you said is I can just make it exactingly like I want. But I will not just add one ship if I can decide by myself. Would like to delete all ships and make a dozen of ships and probably also city's . So if I can't join I will probably do like that. Love Pioneer just want to make it more pleasing for the eye to play And yes of course I will share the download link

exactly.I think we're on the same "Frame of Reference" at speed of light, i want to turn off my engines and stay there Forever.I think you just need to know (if you do not know already) is how to enter the ships in the game. Cities, Space Stations etc.And I think the staff here help you in this task.For me I think you can begin to change the name of the topic, and make a beautiful design, like the one you have on top, with the Words"Pioneer - The Last Frontier"A Total Conversion (Graphics) for Pioneer by Gustav See you P.S. - I think you'll enjoy it much more this way, (the creative process). In this way you are FREE. Yeah exactly, must sleep now but like Pioneer The Last Frontier think it will look good. But now that i can choose freely i will just take a day to think on if i even want pioneer in the name. Want that looks best and fits best.But will update tomorrow and will probably also upload a pic on the new wip ship if i have time

Just so you know, you can modify most aspects of the game art from just mods (and if there's something you can't, please let us know because it'd be good to be able to change just about anything).You only need to modify the engine if you want to change core game mechanics (like Paragon did with the transit drive, for example). And even then we're working to bring more and more of this stuff out to Lua so mods can change it.

It's possible to mod various things without doing much at all, there's a brief description of some existing ones on the wiki. I'll make a post about all this to help clarify things I think...
