Hello everyone, I am a presenter on the GameOverCast team a weekly enthusiast video gaming podcast. We are going to Gamescom next week and are lucky enough to get to see, and get to chat to the Devs for X-Rebirth. I have personally lost hundreds of hours to X3 in the past and have lots of questions lined up but would love to ask some directly from the fans. If you have anything you would like us to ask please could you post them in this thread and we will do our best to ask as many of them as we can.I will post a link to the podcast and the time where we feature the game once we get back, we will be seeing over 40 games so it may take a few shows before we feature all of them.If you guys fancy checking out the show, we have just put up our Pre-Gamescom special, probably worth listening too.Let me know what you want to know!

Welcome to SSC Radarhead. In some of the videos Egosoft mentioned walking around stations and on some ships. But never really went into detail about this, what will the player actually be able to do and do they play to expand on the this area of the game. Maybe allowing someone to run a pub, espionage against a rival faction, hold conversations (like in Mass Effect) that may lead to missions or just give you hints about something to do and could we purchase rooms on all stations if we wanted to and outfit them as we see fit?

Welcome aboard radarhead. Can you ask them if there is going to be a boxed and/or a boxed Collector's Edition?

My question would be Will the each of the alien races in the game have a distinct architectural style to the interiors of their stations or will it be just a generic style for all the interiors.

One question I'd like to pose, expanding a bit on DarkOne's post: Will we be able to have a 'shooter' part and actually be able to board capital ships, stations, and such and fight for control. I think its a most logical step regarding they implemented landing on both of those. But I do not know if they can get this done before release. But if they can't, it might be nice to know if they intend to implement this later. Another one is if they are gonna implement planetary landing in one of the sequels after rebirth (rebirth isn't gonna get it, period).

I hope it's not too late. I've got some questions too: 1. I don't like the one-ship design of the game or more precisely, I don't like not being able to fly any fighters at all (in a space sim!!!). My question, therefore, is: How mod-ready are other ships going to be (fighters in particular)? I know that it'll be up to modders to create whole interiors/cockpits, but I'm more interested in whether they have a variety of characer coded into them already - different turning rates, acceleration rates, mass, weapon slots etc. 2. I heard a rumour it should be possible to walk around capital ships. Will they have functional interiors modelled like in films? - CIC/bridge, elevators, ammunition/fuel storage, engine room/engineering and so on + maze of corridors. 3. Will highways be the only way of travelling between cities and other locations of interest?
