Look at how far we've come!

I was doing some researching today, looking for old versions of Pioneer downloads. The main download pages no longer have the really old stuff, but I found this link.http://www.gamefront.com/files/files/17602554/pioneer-alpha7.7z addition to the improved visuals, I find that the game runs much faster and more smoothly in the current version. It really shows off all the 'under the hood' work that people have been doing.

Yes you all have come a long way! :girlcrazy: I really wish King Haggis would do a re-make of his original Pioneer Alpha 3 vid. Now upto 37,720 views, 232 likes and zero dislikes. Also, (and this is just a personal view) I think Pioneer, Oolite & FFE3D gave David Braben that final push he needed to finally bring Elite Dangerous into the light, the Wing Commander Saga perhaps did the same thing for Chris Roberts. You guys (and others working away in other open source space sim projects) showed the world that there is still a demand for proper space sims. With regards to Pioneer, I've said this before and I say it again: Pioneer is here, it works and it's bloody brilliant! :girlcrazy:

I must say thet it was alredy beautyful! :)I like the mountains of this old version. They were more "spiky".As for a video, there was this thread, but I didn't see any update since july... Anyway, all the clips I recorded are still available for anyone who know how to edit videos. It's 2GB and, if needed, I still have the raw recordings.http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/3616-lets-make-a-pioneer-promo-video/page-3

I haven't been to this forum for a long time and I must say that I am amazed by how much great work and effort all of you put into this project and how well it is evolving. I can't wait for next releases! Keep up the good work :)
