Hello all, I'm pretty new to P.C gaming but got me a nice new rig and an inkling to blow stuff up. Im looking for a game thats basicly a simplified version of EVE where you can directly controll your units (big ol fleets of em). I'd like to create an empire through trade and protect it with a friend. EVE looks pretty damn cool and I'll proably pick it up if this avenue of enquiry is fruitless. I'll be gratefull for any relevant suggestions but if you know of other particularly good games let me know.

Welcome to the forums Gunstars Take it that you are looking for an online game? not sure which of the online games allows you to build trade empires apart from Eve maybe be worth a look at Taikodom or Vendetta and see if they offer any thing you like. Shores of Hazeron might also be worth a look.

Hazeron (very old version): If you are willing to make the jump to some epic RTS games, please put on diapers as you'll wet your pants from the pure epicness: This is the game which has made many people think that Starcraft is just a kindergarten. A bit more older but also epic RTS: And 2 months after watching this, please replace your diapers as you'll wet your pants once more: Stray clear of any space monsters like Legends of Pegasus, and you'll be mostly fine. If you survived your journey so far, you may find this one: And Elite dangerous not to be forgotten! *looks a bit shyly towards Geraldine*  Eventually straying into forgotten times, you may find gems full of arkonor like these 2:   Then we hit our jumpdrive, and jump to the cyno beacon leading to Distant Worlds:   And finally we warp towards our safespot to let our shield and capacitor recharge:  This was your FC signing off o7
