game keeps terminating unusually maybe its because im trying it on windows 7, maybe its cos my new comp is a 64 bit system but it seems to be eating a huge amount of memory and causes my comp to slow to a crawl especially if i click the menu or timeshift buttons

I'm running it on Win7 64bit too, how much memory/RAM do you have? Also, try turning down the amount of terrain detail.It's multi-threaded so it uses all of your CPU cores but it generates a lot of data quite quickly. Also there should be some files in your "My Documents/Pioneer" folder called stdout.txt, stderr.txt and opengl.txt, if you could post those here or up on a site like pastebin.com then that would be helpful for figuring out what's happening.

Hi FluffyI dont know if this the same crash as Tony is getting, but on starting a game on Earth the game freezes and crashes to desktop. Here is the stderr log below "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibp" That's Pioneer running on my older Nvida/Intel 32 bit XP based PC. I will try it later again on my ATI/AMD 64 bit Win7 PC Build I used was 201309.6, but the build (201308.25) I uploaded to ModDB, does this also on my older PC. EDIT:Just tried it on my AMD PC, similar result from stderr log"Requested AA mode: 16x, actual: 1xlibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profilelibpng warning: iCCP"

Seems like its a newer version of libpng than we linked against when using Visual Studio. That message is from versions of libpng newer than 1.6 and warn against out of date png formats.Still not sure why it would be crashing yet.

I know those libpng warnings. In my Arch Linux install I had libpng 1.6 installed few months ago. Since then, many applications gives me these messages.For me, in most cases, they were harmless. However, I solved the problem by re-saving the problematic PNGs.You can use imagemagick on an installation that have the new libpng intalled to do a quick and dirty batch conversion of all the PNGs in a directory, recursively.See: http://www.aegidian.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14832&hilit=png+fix -iname "*.png" -exec convert {} {} ;

The latest version (201309.33 linux32, ubuntu 12.04) is crashing whenever I refuel in the field... mining asteroids works fine right until I try to transfer water from the hold into the fuel tank.
