Commodities and equipment mass

Hi there,I was wondering if there is any way to change their masses without recompilng the whole game? I have edited my favourite ship's lua file (Wave, if you want to know) so it has now hull and fuel tank mass set to 0t.Ship is most efficient (hyperspace range) with 9t military fuel with Military class-3 hyperdrive, autopilot and atmospheric shielding (in other words - with 27t all-up weight it has now 208.3 ly range).And I want more!
So I came up with the idea of having 0t all-up weight, so I should get then some enormous range, unless the game crashes (maybe it should be 1t, so range would not go to infinity - right?). Why? I just want to explore some distant systemz and don't worry for the fuel or finding bases to refuel. Normal hyperdrives which can scoop for fuel are not an option, because they don't have so great a range as military ones, not to mention that fuel scooping is time consuming. So, what do you think about this? Can it be done without recompiling stuff?
