Hello was wondering if anyone knew out of these 3 video games which would be the best , was looking at evochron mercenary, starlight inception & starpoint gemini 2, only problem with last 2 games are they are still in alpha stage but are 5 dollars cheaper than evochron , any thoughts or insights from any who have played these games would be helpful, thanks in advance. signed the noob (lol!)

Welcome to the forums Shadowma45 Can't say anything about them as I have not played any of them but as you say both Gemini 2 and Starlight are still in Alpha so you can expect bugs while playing the game,Starlight has more of a linear (Wing Commander) type gameplay, the other two are open worlds or universe space trading games IIRC. X3 Rebirth should be out on the 15 of November and should give your graphic card a work out.

With playing the Starpoint Gemini and liking it and liking the dev team I would probably support their second effort because they have taken a lot of the negatives described to them here and fixed them and they have made a huge improvement to the game graphically. And I thought I would mentioned Wing Commander Saga just incase you haven't played it since you mentioned WC, and yes I cannot wait for Star Citizen and Squadron 44, only bad thing is that I have to upgrade my PC because I can't even play with the hanger preview.

I basically need a DX11 compatible gfx card, mine is only a AMD 4890HD which only supports DX10. But to be safe you should get a mid-range DX11 card one with 1GB+ of memory and 256bit or higher. For system memory I would go for 8GB of memory (more the better 16 would be ideal). After that just a decent processor and system will suffice. I should be able to build me a system for June sometime and should be able to run SC with no issues. I knew I was going to be in trouble when I couldn't play Strike Suit Zero on decent settings (because of the action) so saving up some cash and hope to have a new system soon and this one will go to the kids :)
