Hello from StarFighter

Hello, just found this forum and thought I'd do a post on my indie game project: Star Fighter. It's a fast-paced arcade style space shooter, like a modern version of StarFox (but not on a rail). Lots of weapons, enemies, and powerups keep the game fresh and never boring. Currently single-player and I'll round out the co-op if I have time. Third-person only at the moment, but I've had popular demand for first person perspective so I'll likely also support first person. Graphics are a central focus: features highly detailed relief-mapped models, time lapse warps between fractal planets with state of the art atmospheric scattering (Bruneton Scattering parameterized for alien atmospheres), HDR, Bloom, lens flares, particle systems, procedural stars, and plenty of other special effect eye candy. Currently it's in alpha with about an hour of gameplay, and only one extremely hard difficulty level; I need to add some more difficulty options because it's just too hard. Feedback and questions are welcome and appreciated.

Here's a video, sorry I wasn't terribly smooth with the mouse in the video. This video's a little older and some of the graphics weren't polished yet, was using a lower-quality scattering algorithm at the time, no HDR yet, and the planet surface still needed some work. http://www.youtube.com/embed/18iAJy10f2w?feature=player_detailpage&VQ=HD1080

Thanks for the warm welcome. The planet transition is a warp gate, it's a key game element that advances the player to new environments populated with different enemies; I intend to add a few more. The warp gates launch the player between locations, really it's my favorite effect in the game. There's an armory screen within the gate that lets you buy upgrades with credits and has information about your mission.
