We talked a few about overload here http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/5740-interplay-ip-for-sale/#entry59848 played the pre-alpha demo on steam so i'm making a very early review. It's a descent type fps, hopefully it seems this kind of space games is returning. Other similar projects are descent underground http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/4896-descent-underground/?hl=%2Bdescent+%2Bunderground ) and Geocore http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/topic/5425-geocore-descent-style-space-fps/?hl=geocore The demo is only a pre-alpha version so it's very very poor in every appearance but it looks very promising for me.The game rum smoothly on my hd6850, graphics effects are good and the same for the sound. Level design it's poor, with deserted corridors but it's only pre-alpha so i think the final version will exibit more complex design. There isn't a cockpit, again they will do it for sure (a space game without a cockpit?).What about the game feelings?Well, after 10 seconds playing it with my joystick i found it just like descent! Very funny, good controls, in my mind i had the same feeling i had with descent when i was a boy.I'm following this project with a lot of expectations...hope it will be a great success and the begin of descent kind (6DOF) games reborn.

I bought it and i'm very satisfied! The game it's a descent remake in every aspect, i like it but it can be improved a lot with more variety. It's all "already seen" since it's very similar to descent.
I hope they will do a overload 2 but taking in consideration to adding more features like open spaces (not always underground), different weapons and a better design for enemies....they are very similar to each other.
