Stumbled across the site and decided to sign up. A little about myself: First got into space sims with Star Wars TIE fighter and still am a big Star Wars fan (minus the jedi part really), so any game featuring a Imperial class Star Destroyer or A-wing interceptor will get my interest in a hurry. I love space based gaming, so games like Homeworld, Space Rangers, Freespace, Gal. Civ. and Sins of a Solar empire usually find themselves on my harddrive soon after release. My last big hurrah into true space sims was/is X3 Terran Conflict. Kinda taking a hiatus from it atm, but might go back in a month or two depending if some promising looking mods get done. Got my fleet ready to invade Xenon space again if I do. Currently play the UT3 mod Angels Fall First: Planetstorm and highly recommend checking it out if you're into warships, as they have some interesting designs and concept art.

Welcome to SSC SwiftdrawAlways wondered why LucasArts stopped making the TIE/X-Wing games? Besides Sith and Jedi the only thing that draws people into SW games is the ship combat.You might be interested in The Second Antarean War made by the same group that made Planetfall. It is going through a rebuild/redesign atm so we will have to keep waiting a bit longer.
