Kickstarter for Into The Stars looking for $85K, sound like a 3D FTL, as usual more details on Kickstarter. Website http://www.fugitive-games.com/  Complete Control: Take command of an inexperienced crew and guide them through a solar system packed with mystery and danger. From your seat on the bridge you'll steer the ship, manage resources and control your ship's systems while engaging friendly and hostile aliens. Can you make the right choices and reach the planet we'll call home? Explore a Massive Solar System: You have the freedom to set your course for salvation, but no approach is free of peril. Each of the 90 zones in this sector present unique opportunities along with challenges, and only you can find the path to success.Challenging volley-based Combat: Sometimes trade discussions break down and often the other party is out for nothing but blood. That's why your ship is equipped with a number of weapon systems that can speak for the human race in a language everyone can understand. Choose your target points and battle stations wisely to survive numerous alien encounters.

Your quick Pinback, beat me again. This actually looks real good and if they can combine some of the things seen in Star Command and FTL and have it in 3D then they will definitely have a good game on their hands and people will throw them money. Perma-Death is a nice feature for the crew since it adds to your decision making process. They do have some nice features here and I hope they hit there goal. Will add this kickstarter to the mainpage.

I would have back it but I don't have a credit card at the moment, have to wait for a PayPal option. Just had another look at it and they are doing good nearly at the half way mark.

Not far off the target now, would not be too surprised if they made by the end of the week. Odd thing I have noticed is that their is no mention of an Alpha/Beta, can't remember if they said anything in the video.

They have hit their target and are heading towards the $100K mark and they also now have a PAYPAL option so I have been able to back it, but it does only have the $20 tier as their are no other option available.

Iceberg have picked up the game http://www.iceberg-games.com/index.php?dispatch=news.list here hoping we will a box copy some time next year. Haarlem, The Netherlands – 06 May 2015 – Publisher Iceberg Interactive is elated to have signed a worldwide publishing agreement for INTO THE STARS, the debut title from start-up developer Fugitive Games. The recently formed team at Fugitive brings immeasurable experience from studios, such as DICE, Capcom and SCEA, where members worked on numerous triple-A titles, such as Battlefield, Lost Planet and Medal of Honor. INTO THE STARS has already shown promise from its appearance on Kickstarter where, despite the vast array of videogame titles, Fugitive managed to raise 130% of their target for INTO THE STARS, while the game was also Greenlit by the Steam community in an amazing three days. Additionally, Fugitive took home a Best-in-Play award at this year’s GDC.INTO THE STARS (PC/Mac) is a single player open-world journey through a distant solar system. Players take the role of Captain as they explore a massive star system in search of a new home for humanity. Players outfit their ships, select their crew and set off on a journey where they must scavenge resources, shelter civilians and outrun a hostile alien force in order to survive. The soundtrack for Into The Stars was written by legendary composer Jack Wall, renowned for his music scores in titles like Mass Effect, Call of Duty and Lost Planet.

Iceberg is great, they love the space games and they usually create boxed copies that people like to get as well.

This isn't reviewing very well. Mostly mixed opinions. Would love for an SSCer to look at her.

Not had a chance to play it apart from checking that it worked, from the little i did do I would say it desperately needs some tutorials at the start as you given no indication of what does what and I did see the rather daft mining game. Will have a better go at it next week when I get some free time.

I played it for a bunch of hours, except not for the most recent patch. The bad:1. Has quite often a lack of feedback on the ui or even missing functions. The first released version was due to these things quite difficult.2. Gameplay is very shallow for now, but they promised to expand later on in this regard.3. Right now replayability is not very high. The good:1. Sexy visuals.2. Hardly prone to crashing, aka runs stable for a just released game. Aka: game runs fine, but someone who has already played quite some space games may find this game lacking in interesting things to do and may have it feel quite bland. For new people to these kinds of games, this game may be interesting tho.
