Battlestar galactica is one of my favorite sci-fi series i hope they do a good work like the last 2004 reboot.Anyway making many reboots it's not a good idea, i prefer a development of the 2004 series. When you reboot a story every time it's something already seen.

They said this one will be a film/movie and not tv series.

I am mixed as to whether I would like to see one made or not. I remember watching the original series when it came out and I loved it then and Syfy recent remake of it was also a good series as well. They could probably do it well enough but if I saw a movie or a series remake it is a little too soon since I would still have the Syfy cast of BSG in my head and would have wanted to see them. But a remake I would watch I just don't want them to mess it up

I wonder if they'll have any cameos from the original cast...

This rings a bell, Richard Hatch (Apollo) tried this back in the early noughties and a quick look on YouTube turned up the trailer for it.  Don't know if their any connection or if it's a new attempt.
