Build rocket in the soviet era and watch them blow up, out some time next year. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1120220/Soviet_Space_Engineers/

From Steam

Become a pioneer of spaceflight. As an engineer in the Soviet Space Program you will be responsible for repairing, fixing and building the iconic spacecraft and rockets from the R-7 family.
In this advanced simulator you will be able to learn how to build rocket engines, prepare rockets for launch but also have fun with testing them.
The main rocket construction hangar is a giant playground where you can build rockets and spacecraft but also experiment with multiple tools and devices.
There will also be a scrapyard where you can search for spare parts and renovate them to complete tasks with limited resources.
Thanks to Soviet Space Engineers you will learn the construction and evolution of the historic rockets and spacecraft like the Soyuz, Vostok, Voskhod or Sputnik.

:D Liked the end bit!
However, a Sergei Pavlovich Korolev simulator does sound interesting. ;)

I was wondering if it will have that moon rocket they built, the one with 30 engines on the first stage.

I did reply there Pinback but for some reason the forum isn't showing it. Must be a bug or something. :(

I'll try again, hope this works this time.
Yeah, The N1 would be great to see. It must have been an awesome sight to see lifting off, shame they never got it to fly properly. Had Korolev not died during it's construction, there is a chance history may have been very different where the moon landings were concerned. Perhaps it might have looked a bit like this...

Checking on Steam about the game, it seems they are sticking to the much more successful R7 series.

Indeed. The docs about the era are becoming more and more interesting, putting things in perspective now that this is really "history". There were the ones Pinback mentioned a while ago, and a new fresh batch just aired last week here (from Robert Stone).

Is their a link with that DC?.

The N1 might show up later if the game is successful, interesting fact about the engines used was that they were sold to the Americans and they could not believe what they were capable of doing. Their an old Equinox doc about it, the quality of the vid is bad but it's worth a watch if you have a spare hour.

Sorry did not find one for the original version: "Chasing the Moon" by Robert Stone, in 3 episodes (from PBS this year it seems). For the record here's a link to the first doc in French or German:

Sadly not available, always on the look out for docs on the soviet space program.
Did not see any mention of the Buran in the game description, so it might show up at a later date.
