Here is a presentation from Elon Musk about Starship, if all goes well with the test launch in a few months I would guess it won't be long SpaceX is going to do some space flights for people

Yes that thing looks completely surreal! But then again watching the two Falcon Heavy boosters land side by side was too!

There's even a hint of Fireball XL5 - which calls for a tune:

I think its really about getting the job done for less, Elon hints a few times during the presentation about bringing costs down. Which makes sense since SpaceX is a private company and not govt funded like NASA. But this is also when SpaceX will succeed where NASA failed because of their methods. Not sure what regulations they may be under but you would think they could try to fly anything they want...... but if they fail or kill pilots or passengers its the end of SpaceX because they would be sued into the ground. So that is more of a motivator to get things right. But I agree I like the old school spaceship look

The need to play the flash theme song on take off hahaha

I'm sure that it will be exactly as Elon seems to think,,, there will be a demand but also a lot of where they go with the rocket will be something they didn't think about, or take seriously yet. also I couldn't help but thinking that Spacex is going to take a big shift to small rockets again, and just do a ton of work with small rockets. I was looking at falcon 1 like,,, that thing is literally lighting up right now.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon lifts later today (20:33 Zulu), weather permitting.
Those 'Starman' spacesuits look natty, but they'd be useless in space itself.

Very spartan interior of the Dragon although it reminds me of the ship interiors from 2001.
Thought the new space suits look like a onesies with a crash helmet and a pair of wellies.

Aye, very 2001 - the (space)suits too. No surprise that, given Musk's liking for sci-fi.

You right the suits do look a bit the ones from 2001 just a bit bulkier.

Well given that everything is automated they just added a few screens as a matter of politeness to the crew!
You see that SSC!? No joysticks!!

Is that the Starman's Tesla Roadster zipping past in the background?

I think it was the roadster in the background.
You have to wonder what happens if the screen go blank do they have a USB port to plug in a laptop?
I argued that a ship in the far future would not use a joystick but some people are just set in their ways.
