Great news for the crew at CCP and hope EVE continues to get better and grow. I know I am looking forward to seeing Dust 514 and how they tie it all together. Am looking forward to playing Dust* some time soon but until they change EVE Online from the "point-and-click" gameplay I won't play it again. Even so, EVE deserves that prize for their continued efforts to make the server more stable and faster and lag free, kudos for that.

Man that's still bums me out that it's point and click. What specifically does that mean, you literally point at something and click to fire and that's the combat in a nutshell?? Or is there a bit more to it than that? Either way, that's a deal breaker for me. A game like EVE should have the most nuanced and deep combat system in the space sim world, bar none. Are there any plans to overhaul and/or change the combat system in the future???

I haven't heard of any talk of changing the combat engine at all. But best thing I like about CCP is there dedication to bringing new FREE content for everyone. What I would love to see in Dust 514 is the ability to have like assault ship with troops that can attach to the large cap ships in EVE and kill the crew from the inside and have PvP battles on the ships as well. But your small little ships have to make it past those nasty flak cannons first
